Sembra proprio che la quarta stagione di Severance sarà anche l’ultima

Le riprese della terza inizieranno quest'estate: dovremmo riuscire a vederla nel 2027.

Oltre a comunicare che Apple Studios ha acquisito i pieni diritti di Severance da Fifth Season per un valore stimato intorno ai 70 milioni di dollari (da distributore, quindi, diventa proprietario), Deadline ha rivelato un po’ di novità sulla prossima stagione di una delle serie tv più belle degli ultimi anni (qui trovate la nostra recensione): le riprese della terza stagione di Severance inizieranno quest’estate. Se tutto va bene, quindi, le nuove puntate saranno disponibili nel corso del 2027.  Sembra che l’obiettivo di Ben Stiller e Dan Erickson sia di arrivare a quattro stagioni e che Apple sia completamente d’accordo: la quarta stagione, quindi, sarà l’ultima. Erickson e Stiller, però, si dicono aperti all’idea di fare di più con l’universo di Severance: le possibilità includono un prequel, degli spin-off e versioni internazionali. Certo, preferiremmo non dover aspettare tre anni tra una stagione e l’altra: dobbiamo però ricordarci che questo lasso di tempo non è dovuto a ritardi produttivi o controversie contrattuali, ma serve agli autori per scrivere una sceneggiatura così complessa e garantire quindi l’altissima qualità della serie.
